Real digital transformation partners do so much more than committing code and racing through burn down charts. They become part of your team, fully invested in working alongside you through the lows, and cheerleading as you celebrate the wins. They don’t leave you hanging as they obsess over finding the next big piece of paid work. They make the journey smoother, spotting problems early, and at the end of the assignment, leaving teams stronger than they found them.
That’s how we work at Scrumconnect.
We’ve delivered some of Britain’s most important digital services that are used by millions every day. We've built these services from the ground up, so they work better for the citizens who rely on them, and where there’s absolutely zero margin for error.
And this is reflected in the long-term client relationships we’ve built like the Department for Work and Pensions, Ministry of Justice, HM Passport Office, Department for Education, and others. These are organisations where digital failure can have an immediate and serious operational and societal impact. That’s why our work is rooted in quality and client focus, making sure that we are tightly aligned from the first conversation to the day the service goes live, and then long after.
When lockdowns hit in 2020, demand for Pension Credit spiked almost overnight. We worked with DWP, remotely in pandemic conditions, to design and build a digital application route in just six weeks. It wasn’t a cut-down version. It was a complete service, tested with real users and meeting government digital standards. That speed was possible because our teams worked (virtually!) side-by-side with the client, making decisions together without endless handovers or delays.
Common Platform for HM Courts & Tribunals Service is another example. It’s a major, multi-year transformation programme bringing criminal justice services onto a single system. We’ve had more than 140 people working on it for over five years. Multiple stakeholders. Shifting requirements. Tight deadlines. And quality standards that can’t be lowered, because the service is fundamental to the delivery of justice in courts across Britain.
The State Pension service is another project we’re proud of. We helped redesign it so it’s fully digital, easier to use, and ready for the future. Millions use it every day, and it works because it was built around the people who rely on it.
In all, we’re involved in over 16 of the top-75 government services identified by GDS.
But beyond our proven ability to deliver these systems of national infrastructure, we bring so much more to the table:
- A one-team approach. We don’t sit on the sidelines, we embed our people closely with your teams. We recruit our talent based on their technical experience, but also on their ability to align to the Scrumconnect values while flexing to yours. The closeness builds trust, which means faster problem solving and fewer surprises.
- Quality baked in from the start. Unlike many other digital transformation organisations, we don’t view testing as a separate activity that occurs towards the end of a delivery cycle. Instead, we make sure it’s fully embedded as part of the build from day one. We follow government digital standards, work to ISO-certified quality and security processes, and keep reviewing and improving how we do things. That reduces risk and makes services resilient before launch.
- Agility in the real world. We use the term ‘agility’ with a small ‘a’ here. Unless you ask us to, we’d never enforce our preferred delivery method into your environment, or try to upend your proven ways of working. It means that we’re multi-skilled and flexible to whatever works best for you. Agile? Great. Waterfall? Absolutely. Kanban? On it! We like to think of this as real world agility. All that matters to us is the journey we take towards delivery together. We move fast when we need to, but without cutting corners.
- User-first thinking. We start by researching instead of assuming. Whether it’s simplifying the Passport Office’s online application process or designing the process for exporting fish post-Brexit, we let findings guide what we build. That way, what’s delivered works for the people who need it.
- A proven track record. We’ve won the usual array of awards to recognise our work such as the UK IT Industry Awards, the LDC Innovation Awards and others. But a much more important measure of our track record is that our customers routinely come back to us. They trust us with their most complex, high-profile projects because they know we deliver and that working with us feels like having an extension of their own team.
We also live by a set of principles that keep our standards high. We invest in our people so they can grow and stay. We work transparently so clients always know where things stand. We always do whatever’s best for our customers, even if it means disadvantaging ourselves. We always look forwards because services, technology and user needs never stand still. And we build securely and inclusively, so that everything we deliver works for everyone.
So why do organisations choose Scrumconnect as their delivery partner? It’s because working with us isn’t about handing over a requirements doc and waiting for a result. It’s about shared ownership and shared wins. You bring the problem you’re working to solve, and we bring the experience, energy, and commitment to quality. Together, we deliver services that work for the organisations that run them, and for the people who rely on them.
